Why do we need you? The Performance & Development Leader is responsible for leading, developing, and inspiring a team of around 10 advisors in a fast-paced and growing financial services environment. This role is accountable for achieving strong team results through robust performance management, clear goal setting, coaching, and building a culture where people feel motivated and supported to deliver their best work. The leader will also play a key role in managing operational budgets, workforce planning, and recruitment, ensuring resources are aligned to business needs. They will foster clear communication, engage stakeholders effectively, and use problem-solving and critical thinking skills to remove barriers to performance. As MoneyPlus continues its transformation journey, this role will provide the leadership needed to guide the team through change while safeguarding customer outcomes and regulatory standards.

What do we need you to do? Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of c.10 advisors, setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable for delivering results.
- Implement structured performance management, including 1:1s, observations, feedback sessions, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement, where high standards are the norm and success is recognised and celebrated.
- Manage operational budgets and forecasts for the team, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and financial performance is reported accurately.
- Monitor KPIs and operational MI, using insight to identify performance gaps, risks, and opportunities, and taking timely corrective action.
- Provide day-to-day coaching and mentoring, enabling advisors to build competence, confidence, and career progression.
- Lead team recruitment activity, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure capability and capacity are in place to meet business needs.
- Act as a role model for clear, open, and effective communication, ensuring information is shared in a way that keeps colleagues engaged and aligned.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address performance challenges and operational issues in a structured, evidence-based way.
Shared Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders, L&D, and HR to align team capability with organisational needs and transformation priorities.
- Collaborate with Compliance, QA, and Risk teams to ensure all performance activity aligns with regulatory and customer outcome standards.
- Engage stakeholders across Operations, IT, and other functions to ensure barriers to performance are identified, communicated, and resolved collaboratively.
- Contribute to wider business planning, sharing workforce insights and performance trends to inform operational and transformation strategies.
What skills and experience do we need you to have?
Essential
- Proven experience leading teams in a reputable, performance-driven organisation.
- Strong track record of delivering results through structured performance management, coaching, and development.
- Experience managing operational budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and transformation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to solve problems and make decisions using data and critical thinking.
- Understanding of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, and working in a regulated financial services environment.
Desirable
- Experience in customer service, collections, or debt management.
- Experience managing or leading in a contact centre environment, ideally within financial services.
- Exposure to large-scale transformation or continuous improvement programmes.
