We’re looking for a hands on Software, Data & Change Manager to manage a small, multi-disciplinary team, who make sure we offer customer journeys that support the needs of our customers and provide the data to drive the organisation.

We are a not-for-profit organisation that offers financial products to the most financially excluded communities in the UK. The way our systems and processes work directly impacts whether someone can access our help when they need it. This role is about making sure they can.

We are not looking for a specialist in one area, but someone who has hands on experience of building basic API’s, simple coding, requirement writing, quality assurance testing and data and system infrastructure.

This is not a typical tech role!

You won’t just manage systems – you will use technology, data and systems thinking:

  • Reduce friction in customer journeys
  • Improve operational efficiency
  • Enable frontline teams to deliver great service
  • Produce structured data across all business areas

What you’ll do:

  • Lead software, data and change as one joined-up function
  • Continuously improve end-to-end processes to deliver good customer service
  • Remove manual work, duplication and inefficiency
  • Liaise with external suppliers and partners to ensure we get the most out of the relationships
  • Ensure systems support our customers and people
  • Lead and effectively embed change

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of improving how an organisation operates, not just implemented systems
  • Thinks across systems and journeys, not in silos or tools
  • Has a good understanding of data structure and working with large, complex data sets
  • Is pragmatic, hands‑on and focused on what works in reality
  • Is used to working on small budgets to create a big difference

Why this role is different:

  • Real opportunity to shape how we work end‑to‑end
  • Broad scope across technology, data, and transformation

Full time role working 35 hours per week on a fixed 12 month contract.

Salary up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Company pension
  • Free parking
  • Life insurance
  • On-site parking
  • Sick pay

How to prepare for a job interview at Moneyline

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
