Description
About MoneyGram
We\’re rebuilding one of the most trusted names in fintech—and doing it like a startup.
MoneyGram has been a global leader in cross-border payments for decades, and now we\’re entering our most exciting chapter yet: a full-speed, full-scale re-founding led by Anthony Sohoo, with the backing of private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners.
With a globally recognized brand, deep infrastructure across 200+ countries, and millions of loyal customers, the foundation is strong—and the scale is unreal. We\’re now reimagining just how much further we can take it.
We\’re rebuilding our growth engine—faster, smarter, and more customer-obsessed than ever. Fewer layers. Sharper strategy. Disciplined execution. A bias for action. We\’re looking for bold operators and builders ready to run at this opportunity, shape the future of a scaled business, and leave their mark.
About the role
We\’re hiring a Director of Performance Creative to lead the next wave of growth-focused content across every channel that drives our business—from paid social and CRM to field activation and beyond.
You\’ll partner directly with our Growth, CRM & Retention, and Field Marketing teams to bring ideas to life that convert—at speed, at volume, and with a relentless focus on performance. You\’ll lead a growing team of designers, editors, and creators, and manage a network of vendors and freelancers that scales with us.
You\’ll join weekly performance reviews, sit at the same table as our channel leads, and turn your department into the foundation of every growth loop. Whether you come from content, growth, or brand, what matters most is that you think in systems, love building, and are ready to push the boundaries of what performance creative can be. You want to set the creative standard for fintech—and you\’ll have the backing, mentorship, and room to do it.
What You\’ll Do
- Own the creative strategy and execution across key growth channels—with a strong focus on paid social, CRM, lifecycle, and field marketing.
- Build and scale a high-performing team—including in-house creatives, editors, and freelancers, plus a global network of vendors and content creators.
- Build a scalable creative production engine powered by data, AI tools, testing pipelines, and tight cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner deeply with Growth, CRM, and Field Marketing teams to translate performance data into concepts, creative briefs, and iteration plans.
- Establish creative systems and workflows that balance speed, quality, and experimentation—across dozens of markets and audiences.
- Test aggressively and learn fast—drive weekly creative experiments and own the feedback loop to scale what works.
- Join weekly performance meetings with channel leads and help shape strategy with a creative lens.
- Leverage AI and automation to enhance creative velocity, personalization, and efficiency—constantly looking for new tools and techniques.
- Stay plugged into culture and platform trends—especially on TikTok, Meta, and emerging performance formats.
What We\’re Looking For
- A creative leader and systems thinker—know how to bring ideas to life and build the machine that keeps them flowing.
- 10-15 years of total experience in marketing, brand, creative, or content—with some meaningful time working closely with performance teams.
- Experience in or around paid social, CRM, or field marketing, and eagerness to go deeper.
- Comfortable with experimentation, failing fast, and figuring out what works—thinking in hooks, headlines, and ROAS.
- Experience managing creators, editors, vendors, and campaign workflows at scale is a plus.
- A builder at heart—thrives in fast-paced environments with room to define the role as you go.
- Based in the US or UK. Open to hybrid or remote work across compatible time zones.
The process
We believe in keeping the process clear, fast, and meaningful. Here\’s what to expect:
- Initial screening call
- Subject matter interview
- Technical task interview
- Final vibe check
