General Summary
This position reports to the Head of UK Operations or their designee and is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible for the efficient running and maintenance of the Haas F1Team’s UK sites, it is key this role will drive the UK facilities department ensuring the Haas F1 UK sites are to the high standard expected by the business.
General Responsibilities
- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop trustworthy relationships between all personnel and departments.
- Responsible for the overall performance of the department, ensuring targets and milestones are achieved.
- Manage departmental personnel from recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement through to separation.
- Mentor, train and guide personnel as required.
- Develop staff using effective performance reviews and development plans.
- Responsible for establishing and adhering to departmental budgets to maintain a practical yet functional department.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of UK Operations or their designee.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Haas F1 UK sites, focusing on their safety, cleanliness (internal and external) and security.
- Support other departments across the business to ensure their facility requirements are managed and progressed correctly.
- Accountable for the Health and Safety strategy, associated processes and best practices ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance across the Haas F1 UK sites.
- Accountable for the Fire safety of the Haas F1 UK sites including fire survey, fire risk assessments, fire evacuation plans, fire drills and management of the fire marshal team across the Haas F1 UK sites.
- Accountable for the planning and communication of works across the Haas F1 UK sites, ensuring alignment with the Operations group and wider business to minimize work disruption.
- Responsible for managing and developing the UK facilities team considering budgeting, workload and departmental/companywide policies.
- Responsible for the management and monitoring of the Haas F1 UK Facilities contracts including but not limited to cleaning services, security services and waste disposal.
- Review and develop Haas F1 UK facilities contracts to ensure the services are aligned with company expectation.
- Responsible for the development of systems and processes intended to improve visibility and efficiency within the facilities department.
- Accountable for the management and supervision of contractors on site while they are performing contracted work.
- Report and communicate regarding issues, work and activities to the company stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of the status of the premises.
- Oversee the ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
Education And Work Experience
- Further education within Facility management preferred whether through apprenticeship, University Degree or trade school.
- An industry recognize qualification such as NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent)
- Either hold or be close to obtaining Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH)
- 5 years relevant experience in the management of facilities in a fast paste industry.
Specialized Knowledge And Skills
- Ability to manage others, communicate effectively, and liaise with fellow workers to get desired results.
- Capable of working in a team environment to a very high standard and a positive work attitude.
- Work within the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act. And the Civil aviation Authority Known Consignor Scheme.
- Experience of maintaining or reaching externally audited management standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 1801.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Have an excellent understanding of Health & Safety Legislation
- Strong technical background in building fabric services and system, and their maintenance.
- Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
- Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
- Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.

- Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products and Microsoft D365.
- Ability to follow complex regulations related to facility maintenance requirements, compliance and Health & Safety.
Work Environment Physical Demands
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require some domestic travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
