2025 sees MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrate its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. General Summary

This position reports to the HAI CFO or their designee; is in Banbury UK. Responsible for all financial practices, the preparation of management and statutory financial information, compliance with tax authority regulations and FIA Financial Regulations. Assists the COO and Team Principal in general business matters.

General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall performance of the Finance department, ensuring targets and milestones are achieved.
  • Manage department personnel from recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement through to separation.
  • Mentor, train, and guide personnel as required. Develop staff using effective performance reviews and development plans.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop trustworthy relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Responsible for establishing and adhering to departmental budgets to maintain a practical yet functional department.
  • Produce monthly reports of financial performance, including but not limited to comparisons of actual versus budgeted or forecast performance, solvency, and liquidity.
  • Main point of contact with Haas Automation Finance personnel on day-to-day matters – prepares financial presentations to monthly Racing Entities meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by the HAI CFO or their designee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directs and leads the operations for the accounting department to produce accurate and timely internal financial statements and forecasts on a monthly and annual basis as agreed.
  • Oversees the preparation and delivery of operations reports for use by all levels of Haas F1 Team management.
  • Develops and coordinates the preparation of the annual financial plan with input from all Haas F1 Team Directors and department managers.
  • Monitors the accuracy of payroll, taxes and filings according to regulatory requirements and law.
  • Oversees and monitors the accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable in accordance with vendor credit terms, key contractual terms, and the re-billing of non-Haas F1 Team charges.
  • Oversees the consolidation of Haas Formula UK, Ltd. and Haas Formula Italia, SRL. financials, including transfer pricing issues and currency conversions for statutory and management information purposes.
  • Establishes processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the FIA Financial Regulations – actively monitors compliance with cost cap and provides guidance to managers to ensure compliance.
  • Oversees the engagement of external auditors to audit Haas F1 Team’s consolidated annual financial statements in compliance with statutory and FIA regulations including agreed upon procedures to support FIA reporting.
  • Key contact and liaison for all banking relationships.
  • Keeps abreast of changes in tax laws and other laws affecting business operations.
  • Solicits and retains agent/broker for annual insurance policy renewals (commercial) in accordance with ownership and contractual obligations.
  • Develops and implements key policies and processes to address business needs.
  • Oversees timely completion of monthly reconciliation of all key balance sheet accounts.
  • Establishes suitable processes control to ensure the ledgers are accurate and errors or miss-postings are corrected in a timely manner.
  • Ensures intra group trading account balances agree to US ledgers at the end of each month.
  • Maintains fixed asset registers including separate US tax depreciation records.
  • Oversees treasure activities within US and Europe.
  • Ensures internal controls are robust and effective.
  • Prepares annual corporate income tax compliance information in conjunction with external advisers.
  • Sets the overall direction of internal business systems consistent with Haas Automation group business strategies and ensures applicable systems are maintained.
  • Provides financial and business analysis for all aspects of the organization.
  • Assists in and/or conducts financial modeling and variance reporting.
  • Produces accurate and time sensitive financial, business and statistical reports and trend analysis.
  • Researches and stays current on financial trends and best practices, proactively recommends areas for improvement or risk avoidance.
  • Documents and maintains processes and workflows within Accounting Policies and Procedures manual.
  • Oversees administration of the ERP system and spearheads development and process improvements.
  • Coordinates data interfaces with external partners (banks, payroll services, etc.).
  • Oversee the ad hoc projects as assigned.

Education And Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CPA) required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.
  • 3+ years of experience in an international multi-location environment.
  • Demonstrated skills in financial management, planning, and strategic analysis.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics AX financial reporting software.
  • Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner.

Specialized Knowledge And Skills

  • Ability to supervise others, communicate effectively, and liaise with fellow workers to get desired results.
  • Capable of working in a team environment to a very high standard and a positive work attitude.
  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial statement presentation and accounting systems.

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software and its reporting capabilities, including presenting information and time sensitive information to senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex and/or diverse information and analyze and research data.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct self in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated excellent project management skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a stressful environment.
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

  • Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Work Environment Physical Demands

An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends. This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
