We have a great opportunity for an experienced National Account Manager to join our team. They will be responsible for selling and acting as a key consultant for the leading online systems and services we provide, driving revenue growth, contract renewals and product expansion.
The role will involve client account management of an existing portfolio, developing strong relationships with high level decision makers. The successful candidate will also be tasked with driving upselling and cross-selling by introducing new product opportunities to existing national clients, as well as securing long term contracts, managing renewal cycles and driving uplifts on revenue.
We are looking for someone with executive presence who can confidently engage, present to and build trust with C-suite stakeholders and directors. The successful candidate must be a confident communicator, adept at dealing with all levels of clients and with a background in managing SaaS or tech accounts. Technical acumen is essential, including a working knowledge of IT financial products and API technologies, and data literacy. A banking or building society background would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of winning new business. As well as working with great people, you also have the opportunity to earn a sales bonus on top of your basic salary.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Executive Presence: Confidently engaging, presenting, and building trust with C-suite stakeholders and directors.
- Proven background in managing SaaS / software-as-a-service or tech accounts.
- Understanding of API technologies.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong track record of hitting revenue targets, forecasting, and negotiating complex contracts.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and relationship-building skills across diverse corporate levels.
- Significant business development experience in the financial services arena.
- Proven sales ability including objection handling.
- Technical Acumen: Good knowledge of I.T. financial products.
- Data Literacy: Interpreting data.
- A demonstrable personal track record of winning new business.
- A passion for financial services.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with excellent account management skills.
- Team player as well as being self-motivated.
Desirable:
- A knowledge of personal finance products ideally from a banking or building society background.
Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with skills & experience, plus targeted sales bonus.
Hours: Full time 35 hours per week Monday-Friday. Fully office based from Norwich, with regular UK travel.
