The Role:
We have a unique opportunity for a Lead Generation Sales Executive to join our team based in our Norwich offices. This role is responsible for hunting for new business opportunities to deliver revenue growth, supporting the sales activities of our sales teams. The successful candidate will be tasked with generating and following up on new business opportunities, through identifying gaps in business across our main sales areas: data provision, Star Ratings, magazine advertising and digital advertising. They will be responsible for lead generation for customers across banks, building societies and other financial services companies, targeting a wide range of disciplines including Product, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Research. The role will involve reaching out via telephone and email to new prospects, maintaining accurate records of outcomes and working with the sales Account Managers to arrange follow-ups.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced and high-performing B2B Sales Executive who is motivated by the hunt for new business through lead generation. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of new business development or B2B sales in the financial services arena, as well as prior experience in digital/software sales. They will have the ability to adapt messaging according to the target audience. They will be self-motivated with a tenacious approach to identify new opportunities and get through to key decision makers. Previous experience of telemarketing or similar work would be advantageous, along with a knowledge of personal finance products ideally from a banking or building society background. We are looking for someone with a target driven mindset with the confidence and hunger to generate sales independently. This role is part of a dynamic and fun organisation that has been around for over 35 years.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience of new business development or B2B sales in the financial services arena
- Previous experience in digital/software sales
- Previous experience developing your own sales plans
- Demonstrable selling skills
- Commercial understanding of how affiliate and digital advertising deals work
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent time management skills, with ability to prioritise own workload

Salary: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, plus targeted sales bonus.
Hours: Full time 35 hours per week Monday-Friday Fully office based with some UK travel on occasion.
