The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to join the Moneyfacts IT team to analyse business requirements and translate these into prioritised requirements. The successful applicant will then work with the development and test teams to shape, plan, develop and deliver changes to the business. The role will report to the Head of IT Delivery, working with another BA and a team of three Software Testers to fulfil the requirements of both internal and external customers.
The Business Analyst Will Be Responsible For:
- Liaising directly with the business to understand the objectives and translate these into requirements that are prioritised based on value to the business.
- Working with the relevant team to transform the gathered requirements into a plan, with all risks identified, and communicate that to all parties.
- Leading the team for the duration of the project, and initial support period, ensuring work is prioritised, completed, documented, tested and delivered.
- Investigating helpdesk requests to ensure details are complete and contain sufficient detail for prioritising, scheduling and development.
Skills And Experience
Essential:
- Prefer 5 years previous experience in a similar role
- Proven strong experience with requirement gathering
- Ability to lead workshops with stakeholders, and facilitate discussions
- Confident personality with excellent people skills, ability to build relationships
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Ability to take the lead on IT projects
- Ability to challenge constructively when required
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments
- Ability to adapt to different project methodologies as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Organisational skills, with ability to effectively prioritise
- Ability to understand complex problems and break them down into logical steps.
- Ability to work under pressure with an eye for detail and quality
- Good team worker with the ability to work unsupervised
Desirable:
- An understanding of financial products and services.
- Experience in the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience working with project planning tools.
Salary
Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Full time 37.5 hrs per week Monday-Friday
