With over 45 years of market experience, two banking licences and offices in 11 countries, our technology delivers 24/7 accessibility, while our people deliver award-winning service. Moneycorp is a place where energy, commitment, and collaboration are core to our values of shared success. We’re restless in our drive to surpass the expectations of our customers and unlock opportunities to support them at every stage of their journey. The foundation of our success is our people, and nurturing a culture of belonging for all our colleagues is central to our journey as a global business.

Role Purpose: Drive the next stage of Moneycorp's growth by winning new corporate payment relationships and helping clients modernise their global payment operations. This is a highly commercial, hunter-led role for an experienced payments professional who combines strategic solution selling with a strong new-business mindset. Success will come from identifying opportunities, opening doors, navigating complex organisations and converting prospects into long-term clients. The Sales Director will combine hands‑on deal execution with mentorship and technical guidance for junior colleagues within the Payment Solutions team. The role is central to supporting Moneycorp’s evolution from an FX‑led proposition to a broader transaction banking and mass payments capability, while ensuring deal quality, pace of execution and strong internal collaboration.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Originate and close new business opportunities with mid‑ to large‑sized corporate clients, with a strong emphasis on new client acquisition
  • Translate commercial client needs into scalable payment and transaction banking solutions
  • Lead complex deal structuring, maintaining high standards of quality, commerciality and risk awareness
  • Manage client relationships through implementation to ensure outcomes are delivered as promised
  • Act as a player‑coach, providing mentorship, guidance and technical support to junior sales colleagues
  • Work closely with implementation, compliance, legal and operational teams to enable effective execution
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Moneycorp’s transaction banking, mass payments and partnership strategy
  • Represent Moneycorp with clients, partners and industry stakeholders where appropriate

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven success winning new business within corporate payments, transaction banking, fintech, embedded finance, payment infrastructure or treasury technology solutions.
  • Evidence of building a pipeline and acquiring new logos through proactive market engagement rather than relationship inheritance.
  • Strong understanding of global payment flows and payment connectivity
  • Demonstrated success in originating and closing new business opportunities
  • Ability to structure commercially sound, scalable solutions for complex client needs
  • Experience working across international teams and multiple legal entities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • High attention to detail, resilience and tenacity in a quota‑carrying role

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Exposure to card issuing, acquiring or payment partnerships
  • Experience with trading or online payment platforms
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and disciplined pipeline management
  • Experience supporting or developing junior sales professionals

Education / Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field

Languages: English (additional languages beneficial but not required)

You are likely to succeed if:

  • You enjoy opening new markets rather than managing existing portfolios
  • You are comfortable operating with pace, autonomy and ambiguity
  • You thrive in growth-stage environments
  • You've sold complex payments, treasury, liquidity or financial technology solutions
  • You've built trusted relationships with CFOs, Treasurers and Finance leaders
  • You're excited by helping shape products and propositions rather than simply selling established offerings

What We Can Offer You: This is a full-time, permanent position with an opportunity to work on a hybrid basis within the Payment Solutions team in our London office. What you get in return: This role offers a competitive salary and commission structure, plus a benefits package including private medical health insurance.
