Senior Software Engineer â Payment Evolution Project
Moneycorp is modernising its payments platform, and this role is a key part of that journey. The Payment Evolution Project is focused on containerising and modernising existing applications for Azure deployment. This is a technical migration, not a major functionality rewrite â our goal is to transition to a more scalable, cloudânative architecture while maintaining stability.
What Youâll Be Doing
- Coaching and mentoring a team of 2â4 engineers.
- Modernising and containerising existing applications for Azure deployment.
- Building new cloudânative, eventâdriven applications.
- Ensuring applications are cloudâready without unnecessary functionality rewrites.
- Evaluating and implementing the right .NET framework version for each application.
Person Specification
Essential
- Strong experience with .NET 6â8 and C#.
- Deep understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Azure (or AWS) and cloudâbased architectures.
- Proficiency in Docker and containerisation.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining Web APIs.
Preferred
- Experience in cloudânative applications using Azure.
- Knowledge of Kafka for messaging and eventâdriven processing.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
- An understanding of WinForms & WCF for maintaining legacy applications.
- Any experience working with Temenos or similar core banking platforms would be advantageous.
