Your Next Challenge

This role will be responsible for leading the work undertaken by the Group Risk Management team (also supporting Group Compliance and Legal) for Policy management, Corporate Governance, Risk & Compliance Committee reporting, Consumer Duty and Change Risk (2nd Line).

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Risk and Compliance Reporting

  1. Coordinate Group Risk and Compliance reporting submissions Group and entity Executive Committee, Boards, & Risk committees and forums.
  2. Design and standardise Group Risk reports, working closely with the Group Head of Risk, Head of Operational Risk and CRCOs.
  3. Oversee the co-ordination and delivery of Compliance & Risk Reporting requirements, ensuring deadlines are being met.

Consumer Duty Risk

  1. Oversight & challenge of the production and distribution of all periodic Consumer Duty Board reporting.
  2. 2nd Line challenge of the Consumer Duty Board report, to provide assurance over the firm\’s annual regulatory board submission requirement.

Change Risk & Product Risk

  1. Develop and oversee a Change Risk Framework including Change Risk policy and highlight Change Risks to the head of Group Risk.
  2. Representation at and 2nd Line oversight of Moneycorp\’s New and Approved Product Approval (NAPA) process, providing 2nd Line challenge and escalating to the Group Head of Risk, as required.

Governance Risk

  1. Close liaison with Legal / Company Secretary.
  2. Assist to review effective of Moneycorp corporate governance.
  3. Oversight of the effective committee governance across the firm, ensuring all key governance materials are maintained in good order and aligned to the firm\’s governance standards.

Policy Management

  1. Putting in place a framework for firm wide policies, ensuring consistency across the group.
  2. Ensuring that policies are aligned to the objectives of the company.
  3. Ensuring policies are designed in a way which evidences that the client and their needs are at the centre of policy objectives.
  4. Enhancements and improvements to policy management on a continuous improvement basis and subject to available budget.
  5. Overseeing quality assurance of Risk, Legal and Compliance policies.
  6. Coordination with Risk & Compliance colleagues to ensure that external regulatory requirements and change are factored into policy updates.
  7. Establishing and Chairing a Moneycorp Group Policy Forum.
  8. Seek opportunities for best practice across the Group.
  9. Close coordination with training & Marketing functions to ensure policy updates are aligned with training needs and communicated in a timely manner.
  10. Completion of a periodic policy health check, escalating matters of concern to the Head of Group Risk and through the relevant committees, as appropriate.
  11. Oversight of the governance of all Compliance & Risk documents that sit under policy level, ensuring they remain up to date and under regular review.
  12. Champion policy governance and reporting standards across the firm.
  13. Where appropriate, work with First Line Risk and teams to oversee that gap analysis assessments are conducted to identify weaknesses in the current policy governance architecture.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Skills, Qualifications and Experience relevant to the Role

  1. Degree or above.
  2. Corporate Governance accreditation desirable, but equivalent experience also acceptable.

Key Performance Criteria

Knowledge and Experience:

  1. Operated a similar level in a financial institution with exposure to fields of Risk, Compliance and control management.
  2. In depth technical knowledge and practical experience of regulatory framework including, FCA, CBI, Gibraltar FSC and other bodies in jurisdictions where Moneycorp has a presence.
  3. A strong understanding of the financial services industry.

  3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage within a matrix organisation and can evidence ability to motivate a team.

Please note : This is a full-time, permanent position mainly based at London Victoria Office with some hybrid flexibility (at manager\’s discretion) but may involve international travel to other Group company locations. Flexibility will be required in line with business needs.
