Role Purpose: Working within the New Product Development ('Skunkworks') team, the Data Analyst will provide data-driven solutions that enhance business processes, improve operational efficiencies, and support business growth and revenue generation. The role is responsible for developing insightful reports and analytical solutions that enable informed decision-making across multiple business units and entities. The person in this role will also help increase data awareness across the organisation by educating stakeholders on the effective use of internal data and supporting the delivery of Moneycorp's data strategy.
We're looking for a curious, analytical and proactive individual with a passion for data and technology who enjoys solving complex business problems, managing multiple priorities, and working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation. You will be comfortable translating business needs into meaningful analytical solutions and capable of communicating insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Role Responsibilities:
- Respond accurately and efficiently to data requests from throughout the business.
- Engage with the stakeholders to provide a foundation of understanding of the data.
- Scope, develop and test new solutions using data to solve business needs.
- Enhance data analytics and processing across the Moneycorp ecosystem.
- Provide innovative suggestions to solve business issues.
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to understand how data can assist and enhance their processes.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 2 years' experience in a data analytics, business intelligence, or related role.
- Experience using SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualisation tools.
- Experience with Alteryx or similar data pipelining tools.
- Understanding of data visualisation best practices and presenting insights effectively.
- Ability to gather requirements and work closely with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of foreign exchange, payments, fintech, or financial services industries.
- Experience using Python for data analysis and problem-solving.
Education / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Data or a related discipline.
Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken).
