Who You Are / Your Next Challenge
We are excited to announce an opening for the Head of Strategic Execution in Technology, a key leadership position. This role will report directly to the Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO), playing an essential part in driving the strategic vision and operational excellence across our technology and product divisions.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a robust background in finance, enabling them to understand and navigate the financial aspects of technology initiatives effectively. We are seeking an individual with extensive program management experience who can oversee the progression of multiple, complex projects concurrently, ensuring they align with our broader organizational goals.
In addition to strong analytical skills and financial acumen, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership capabilities. They must be adept at managing diverse technology operations, fostering a collaborative environment, and guiding cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver high-quality products.

What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive strategic initiatives that directly support the Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in attaining the organisation's overarching goals.
  • Develop insightful and compelling narratives tailored for board-level discussions, focusing on critical decision-making processes, regular status updates on project progress, and strategic positioning in the industry.
  • This includes analysing key performance indicators, identifying emerging trends, and communicating how these insights align with the organisation's vision for the future.
Technology Strategy
  • Tasked with the development and clear articulation of the technology strategy directed towards the C-suite executives and the board of directors.
  • This involves not only crafting a comprehensive roadmap that outlines key technological initiatives and innovations but also facilitating regular updates and discussions to ensure that these strategies are in precise alignment with the broader organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify their needs and challenges, promoting a cohesive approach that drives overall business success.
Programme Management
  • Lead and expertly manage large-scale technology programs that are not only aligned with our business objectives but also drive significant value and innovation. By effectively coordinating cross-functional teams and meticulously overseeing project milestones, you will ensure timely delivery that exceeds expectations.
  • Your strategic vision and proactive approach will not only keep the projects on track but also empower the organization to achieve its goals and stay ahead in today’s competitive landscape.

Financial Management
  • Manage the budgets and staffing levels within the technology and product organization, which includes oversight of technology partners and vendors.
  • Engage in comprehensive financial planning and analysis to support informed strategic decision-making. This entails systematic monitoring of financial performance, precise forecasting of budgetary requirements, and collaboration with various departments to ensure alignment of financial strategies with the overarching goals of the organisation.
Operational Management
  • Act as a delegate for the Group Chief Technology Officer when necessary, providing strategic leadership and direction to the technology organization. Ensure effective oversight and management of vendors and technology partners to optimize collaborative efforts and outcomes.
Risk and Controls
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive controls and risk management practices within the technology organisation to effectively identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks. This involves implementing robust monitoring systems, conducting regular audits, and adhering to clearly defined protocols to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. By promoting a culture of accountability and transparency, the organization aims to protect its technological assets and uphold operational integrity, while also striving for continuous improvement in risk management strategies.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, board members, and relevant stakeholders to effectively communicate strategic initiatives, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes. This engagement is essential in ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned with the overarching organizational objectives.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a Chief of Staff or Business Manager role within a technology or finance organization.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Extensive programme management experience with a track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to create and present board-level narratives.
  • Experience managing vendors and technology partners.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and controls within a technology environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in managing budgets and headcount for large technology organizations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the technology sector.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
This position is full-time, permanent. The role is expected to be office-based in London as part of the Technology team. However, we have an agile flexible working policy which enables you to work up to 2 days from home if desired.
