We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to establish and own a new function within the Product team, responsible for shaping how complex, intelligence-enabled capabilities are designed and integrated into product experiences. As part of this, the role contributes to shaping the product strategy for AI-enabled platforms and shared capabilities, defining where and how intelligence is embedded across the product, managing dependencies between systems, platforms, and experience architecture, and helping establish clear guardrails for AI usage in line with business, customer, and risk objectives.

You’ll work closely with engineering teams responsible for shared product capabilities and Intelligence/ML partners to ensure these capabilities are delivered in a clear, scalable, and reusable way. You will operate as a senior, cross-functional product leader, helping teams design end-to-end solutions that span systems, journeys, and intelligence, and ensuring complex work is considered holistically rather than feature by feature. This is a highly cross-functional, strategic individual-contributor role with broad influence across Product, Decisioning, Engineering, and Senior Leadership.

What you’ll do

  • Lead cross-functional shaping of complex initiatives that span shared product capabilities, Intelligence/ML, and customer-facing product teams, ensuring complex work is considered end-to-end across journeys, systems, and intelligence.
  • Translate customer and product needs into clear system and intelligence designs, influencing how advanced capabilities are applied in real product experiences.
  • Design and influence end-to-end journey architectures, working closely with Product Leads, Decisioning, and engineering partners to define flows, system boundaries, dependencies, and integration points for high-complexity features.
  • Establish repeatable ways of working, patterns, and standards for shaping and delivering complex product changes, improving consistency and clarity across teams.
  • Support squads in adopting intelligence-driven capabilities such as personalisation, guidance, automation, and recommendations, providing clarity on how and when to use them.
  • Apply strong systems thinking to product discovery and planning, helping teams design horizontally across journeys and capabilities, understand long-term implications, and rework existing structures where needed rather than defaulting to incremental change.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Decisioning to ensure complex work aligns with customer outcomes, business priorities, and long-term product strategy, with success measured less by the number of AI features shipped and more by the coherence, reuse, and reliability of intelligence-enabled capabilities across the product.

Experience and skills

Essential:

  • 6+ years’ experience in Product Management, ideally in complex, data-driven, or cross-platform environments.
  • Strong end-to-end and product thinking: ability to design across journeys, systems, and intelligence layers, and to challenge existing product and architectural patterns in pursuit of better outcomes.
  • Conceptual understanding of intelligence-driven product design, including areas such as automation, personalisation, recommendations, or context-aware journeys.
  • Proven ability to shape and deliver high-complexity, cross-team initiatives with clarity and structure.
  • Confidence partnering with engineering, data, and technical teams without needing to be a deep specialist.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear direction for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to create reusable frameworks, patterns, and ways of working that scale across teams.
  • Comfort operating as a senior, high-influence individual contributor without direct line management.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with ML or AI-enabled product features (e.g. recommendations or intelligent automation).
  • Exposure to decisioning-style or rule-based systems.
  • Background in financial products, banking, payments, or regulated environments.
  • Experience building or scaling shared platforms or internal capabilities.
