We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Junior Procurement Analyst to join our growing team. This is a foundational role where you will become the engine of our daily operations. You don't need to be a procurement expert yet; we are looking for a data wizard who is exceptionally proficient in Excel and eager to learn the rest by working side‑by‑side with the Procurement Manager.
What you will do
- Data Ownership & Tool Management
- Act as the primary administrator for our procurement tool, ensuring it is optimised and used effectively.
- Own the accuracy of all procurement data, ensuring our records are clean, up‑to‑date, and reliable.
- Utilise advanced Excel skills to produce procurement metrics and monthly reports that provide insight into company spend.
- Interact regularly with the Accounts Payable (AP) team to reconcile data and ensure the absolute accuracy of spend reporting.
- Work closely with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting related to procurement activities.
- Collaborate with Legal, DPO, InfoSec, and Risk teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risks in all procurement activities.
- Train and educate internal teams on procurement policies, processes, and best practices.
- Lead the end‑to‑end due diligence process for all suppliers, ensuring we meet our high standards for risk and compliance.
- Facilitate the smooth onboarding of new vendors and help manage the renewal process for existing ones.
- Act as a helpful point of contact for internal teams, assisting them with their procurement requests and tool usage.
- Learn how to run competitive tenders by supporting the Procurement Manager on Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Learn how to identify key terms and potential risks in supplier contracts under guidance.
Experience and skills
- You must be highly proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and complex data manipulation).
- You have a keen eye for spotting data errors and a drive to fix them.
- You have a strong curiosity to learn from others and are comfortable asking questions to ensure tasks are done right.
- Clear and concise communication skills for interacting with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and InfoSec.
- Ideally, 6 months to 1 year in an analytical or data‑heavy administrative role.
