b Overview /b p In this role you will establish and lead MBSCLs independent compliance function as it moves through FCA authorisation. You will own regulatory oversight for compliance and financial crime, including the Money Laundering Reporting Officer duties, while ensuring robust controls over intra-group arrangements with DML and the Aurora advice engine. You will report to the MBSCL Board and work with risk, audit and FCA. This is a hands-on, shaping-the-function position in a fast-moving, pre-authorization environment with meaningful regulatory impact. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li hybrid working /li li company pension /li li bonus scheme /li li private medical insurance /li li personal Learning and Development budget /li li 25 days holiday /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Hold the SMF16 function to run monitoring and regulatory advisory activities for FCA obligations /li li Hold the SMF17 function, owning the Financial Crime framework and SAR processes /li li Own Customer Due Diligence model under MLR 2017 for compliant onboarding /li li Direct and challenge co-sourced second line financial crime partner to test MBSCL controls /li li Provide independent oversight of the intra-group agreement with DML to demonstrate ongoing regulatory oversight /li li Oversee controls around the Aurora advice engine and House Rules with the Director of Advice to ensure suitability and evidence /li li Provide pragmatic compliance advice on COBS 9A and Consumer Duty to support good outcomes /li li Report to the Board, Audit Risk Committee and Executive Committee on compliance and financial crime matters /li li Act as primary FCA contact for compliance, financial crime and authorisation matters /li li Lead horizon scanning, regulatory change and training to keep the business ahead /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Minimum 10 years in financial services compliance and/or financial crime with SMF16/SMF17 experience /li li Direct experience of CDD, reliance arrangements (Reg 39 MLR 2017) and group-wide AML policies (Reg 20) /li li Experience overseeing intra-group or outsourced arrangements; SYSC 8 familiarity is a plus /li li Strong knowledge of COBS 9A and Consumer Duty (PRIN 2A) /li li Experience supporting FCA authorisation processes or equivalent regulatory engagements /li li Excellent stakeholder management, including reporting to Boards/Committees and FCA /li li Fluency in English /li /ul ul li assertive and independent judgment /li li clear and practical communication /li li strong stakeholder management /li li Customer Due Diligence /li li reliance arrangements (Regulation 39 MLR 2017) /li li group-wide AML policies (Regulation 20) /li /ul
