Job Brief

Accurate financial information is paramount to ensure Moneybox operates efficiently and profitably. Our Head of Corporate Reporting & Financial Operations will be an authority in their field, with exceptional technical knowledge. They will be a financial reporting expert with a deep understanding of financial operations, and a proven track record of delivering large transformation projects. Working closely with other functions, they will embed best-in-class financial controls, governance, and develop financial literacy across the business.

What You’ll Do

• Play a vital role in defining strategy through participation in steering committees, quarterly planning, and management meetings. Promote and embody Moneybox's values to maintain our strong culture.
• As a key member of the Finance Senior Leadership team and a trusted advisor to the VP Finance, responsibilities include:

Corporate Reporting

• Manage the development and execution of the corporate reporting strategy, aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of statutory financial reports, including annual accounts, consolidated statements, tax filings, and regulatory returns.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes using technology and best practices for accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and other standards, reviewing changes and assessing impacts.
• Support IPO readiness efforts, focusing on reporting and financial controls.

Financial Operations

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax.
• Optimize operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve working capital.
• Manage financial systems and technologies.
• Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Implement internal controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Experience and Skills

• Chartered accountant with at least 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally with practice and industry background.
• Experience in financial services or fintech preferred; IPO experience or working in a listed company is desirable.
• Deep knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant standards and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage complex financial functions, drive process improvements, and establish effective controls.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver large projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Effective communicator with gravitas to influence others.

Working Policy

Our hybrid policy includes 2 days in our London office and 3 days remote. Candidates must be based within the UK.
