Job Brief
We’re looking for an experienced Design Lead to join our growing team and take our brand and creative function to new heights. As a designer with impeccable craft, an eye for detail, and a passion for branding and creative‑led advertising, you will oversee the strategic development and end‑to‑end execution of all brand and creative design initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- As the most senior designer on the Brand and Creative team, you’ll be responsible for the Moneybox visual identity, setting the bar for what good looks like and designing assets that are beautifully crafted and commercially effective.
- Collaborate with copywriters, motion designers, and other cross‑functional stakeholders (UI, Content, Product) to oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of advertisements, content, and other design assets. You will ensure the design team is deeply involved throughout the project lifecycle, through excellent stakeholder management and the production of creative response presentations, mood boards, and storyboards.
- As a leader in the Brand and Creative Team, you’ll inspire your reports, the wider team, and the business as a whole.
- Manage a small team of designers, taking responsibility for their output and career development while allocating resources effectively to balance high‑priority business needs.
- Lead creative brainstorming sessions, pitch sessions, and cross‑functional design sharing to align on concept and execution.
- Act as a brand guardian, maintaining and evolving brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint, and supporting the Head of Brand and Creative as a primary point of contact across the business.
- Oversee the organisation of design assets and establish design workflows, processes, and tools (including AI) to maximise speed, quality, and output.
- Manage external freelancers, providing clear creative direction so output aligns with brand standards.
- Track design and advertising performance against KPIs, using data to iterate, test, and optimise creative solutions for maximum commercial impact.
- Champion the brand, influencing and inspiring designers across Moneybox to deliver polished, accessible, and magical brand experiences.
Who You Are
- Have 8+ years of experience in Brand and Creative design, capable of working both conceptually and hands‑on.
- Possess a portfolio of beautifully crafted designs spanning digital, print, and advertising.
- Demonstrate mastery of brand design principles, tools and methodologies, ensuring high quality in every deliverable.
- Have strong conceptual skills, considering motion, copy and design in a holistic view.
- Bring 2+ years of management experience, mentoring designers for success.
- Offer strong project and stakeholder management skills, balancing creativity with commercial pragmatism.
- Communicate clearly, articulating design rationale effectively across the business.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced environment, using lightweight processes and quick iteration.
- Own your work, obsessing over detail while remaining curious and eager to learn.
- Use enthusiasm and a positive mindset to inspire and motivate the team.
- Share a passion for the FinTech industry and helping people build wealth.

Working Policy
We have a hybrid policy that includes 2 days from our London office and 3 from home. If the role states it is either hybrid or remote, candidates must be based within the UK.
