The Product Technical team provides the business with expert knowledge of the rules and practices expected of firms operating saving and investing products, principally those of regulators (such as HMRC & IRS) but also pertaining to associated industry practices such as payments, transfers and operational processes.
The team applies their knowledge to a broad range of tasks, including:
- Facilitating regulatory returns & information requests
- Interpreting and advising on regulatory change
- Opining on complex customer queries and complaints
- Owning actions arising from internal governance forums
- Overseeing high impact processes
The team also represents Moneybox in industry forums and with key external third parties. The work is varied, fast-paced and involves engagement with a large swathe of the business and external third parties. You will learn a great deal about how Moneybox operates in the most granular level of detail and will be expected to apply your knowledge and experience to help create excellent outcomes for Moneybox and its customers.
Due to the growth and success of Moneybox, the Product Technical team is expanding and is seeking to recruit a Senior Manager with an investing focus. Your role in the team will be to primarily support the operation and oversight of the Moneybox investment proposition, which includes Funds, ETFs, US Stocks and our own 'Moneybox Funds' co-sponsored fund range.
We're looking for someone with expert knowledge of guiding and overseeing the administration of a high value, high volume, investment range and over ten years experience supporting investment operations. Knowledge of the creation and oversight of an in-house fund range would also be advantageous.
You should be able to communicate complex concepts to those unfamiliar with them, be great at solving problems, and have a highly analytical and detail-orientated approach to articulating and documenting things. You should be able to discuss the most granular level detail of our operating model (such as how we disaggregate trades) with engineers and ops teams, whilst also being able to create and present strategic summaries to executives regarding pertinent topics. You will operate with a reasonable level of freedom so must be able to take ownership of the work assigned to you and naturally take a proactive approach to identifying issues or creating improvement.
What You'll Do
- Monitor the performance of our investment range against its stated objectives and parameters.
- Oversee and enhance the operating model and processes that underpin our investing products.
- Evolve the internal governance framework by which we oversee our asset range.
- Actively participate in our investment oversight committee, arranging the meetings and preparing pre-meeting information.
- Develop the oversight and governance model for our newly launched, co-sponsored fund range.
- Support and provide knowledge to our investment operations team.
- Ensure our customer disclosures are accurate (such as Fund Fact Sheets & Key Investor Information Documents).
- Take responsibility for the facilitation of mandatory regulatory returns (such as MIFID transaction reporting, costs and charges, consolidated tax certificates etc).
- Identify, interpret and communicate relevant regulatory changes to the business.
- Manage pertinent third party relationships (such as custodians, data providers and fund managers).
- Decipher the customer behaviours and outcomes being created by our investing proposition.
- Represent Moneybox positively in discussions with regulators and industry bodies.
Who You Are

- Someone who is comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- A naturally personable, great communicator who has a passion for their work and the people they work with.
- Adaptable and flexible, for those times when things do not go to plan.
- Excited about FinTech and being part of a company that is trying to make a positive mark on the world.
- Knows how to have fun whilst maintaining a professional outlook.
Experience and Skills
