The Product Owner for the Business vertical is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of Moneybase's offering to sole traders, SMEs, and enterprise clients and will be accountable for features, product, activation, retention and NPS on the business book. The role sits inside agile delivery squads and works across Product, Engineering, UX/UI, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Customer Support, and Commercial.

Job responsibilities:

  • Own the 12–24 month roadmap for the Business vertical across KYB onboarding, wallets, payments, FX, cards, liquidity, accounting integrations and reporting amongst others.
  • Maintain a live competitive benchmark against international products offerings and emerging market trends. Also to translate gaps into prioritised epics with measurable outcomes.
  • Research and pro-actively lead innovation for business clients across all areas.
  • Identify and scope new product lines.
  • Run discovery with the target markets and clients.
  • Partner with Sales on enterprise pipeline.
  • Act as the named owner of the Business vertical internally and externally.
  • Maintain the product backlog: epics, user stories, acceptance criteria.
  • Run sprint planning, refinement, review, and retrospective with the squad.
  • Sign off UAT before production release.
  • Coordinate releases with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver a monthly steering update to the executive team covering KPIs, roadmap, risks, and competitive moves.

Job requirements:

  • 5+ years in product management or product ownership in the B2B space in payments, banking, EMI, or business-facing fintech.
  • Direct experience with at least two of: business onboarding/KYB, multi-currency wallets, SEPA/SWIFT payments, card issuing (Mastercard/Visa), payment acceptance, liquidity products (T-Bills, MMFs), or accounting integrations (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Have working knowledge of MFSA expectations, PSD2, EMD2, and AML obligations as they apply to business customers.
  • Strong Agile/Scrum background with backlog ownership in Jira or equivalent.
  • Comfortable reading API contracts and challenging engineering trade-offs without writing the code.

Considered an asset:

  • Experience launching corporate card programmes, expense management, or accounting integrations.
  • PSPO, CSPO, or SAFe Product Owner certification.
  • Exposure to the Moneybase stack: Azure (PCI tenant), Kubernetes, Couchbase, Auth0, Datadog, Microsoft Fabric.

Skill requirements:

  • Commercial instinct.
  • Confident with data: SQL or self-serve BI.
  • High trust working with Compliance and Risk.
