Hybrid Working

Want to make a real difference to people's financial futures? As part of the National Coalition for Workplace Savings, you'll play a key role in driving a government-backed initiative that helps more people build emergency savings through their workplace, working with senior stakeholders across business, government and the financial services sector.

Role Overview

This role will support the delivery of the National Coalition for Workplace Savings, a government-backed initiative established through the Financial Inclusion Strategy to increase emergency savings among UK working-age adults.

The postholder will coordinate coalition activities, provide secretariat support to the MaPS Policy Steering Group, and contribute to the development of MaPS' savings policy agenda. Working across the joint Secretariat, which includes MaPS, TISA and the Centre for Inclusive Money at Nest, the role will bring together employers, policymakers, savings providers and other key stakeholders to drive engagement and support the growth of workplace savings schemes across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the work of the National Coalition for Workplace Savings, ensuring effective operation and adherence to agreed priorities.
  • Prepare and support meetings for both working-level and Steering Group, including agenda setting, minute taking, and action tracking.
  • Develop and maintain systems, processes, and delivery plans that support effective governance and project management.
  • Manage the reporting process for the Coalition, including KPIs, progress updates, and the preparation of annual reports to the Economic Secretary to the Treasury.
  • Provide secretariat support for policy steering groups, ensuring well-planned meetings and progression of actions.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including government officials, policymakers, and savings providers to support policy development and coalition delivery.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.

To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder programmes or partnerships in a complex environment.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing meetings, actions, risks, and delivery plans.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, adept at producing clear documentation and presenting findings.
  • Analytical skills with sound judgement, capable of synthesizing evidence and insights to support policy development.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations, creating structure and maintaining momentum across multiple workstreams.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of savings policy, financial wellbeing, or related consumer financial services issues.
  • Experience with government departments, regulators, or financial sector coalitions.
  • Familiarity with developing KPI reporting and governance documents for senior stakeholders
