Ready to make a real difference? Join us at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) as our Business Support Co-ordinator. This is your chance to play a meaningful role in helping people across the UK build stronger financial futures and to do it as part of a supportive, energetic team.

Why This Role Matters

Guidance Services helps people across the UK access money and pensions guidance. Good business support helps the teams delivering these services stay organised, work well together, and keep important work on track.

As a Business Support Coordinator, you’ll provide practical support across Guidance Services. From coordinating projects and events to preparing communications and following up actions, your work will help colleagues focus on delivering services for our customers.

You’ll join a supportive team, working with colleagues across different service areas to respond to changing priorities and make day-to-day work simpler and more effective.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • 1. Supporting projects and day-to-day activities: coordinating tasks, gathering information, maintaining records and following up actions and updates.
  • 2. Helping colleagues access business support: reviewing incoming requests, clarifying what is needed, and keeping colleagues informed of progress and agreed timescales.
  • 3. Supporting communications and engagement: drafting clear communications, creating surveys and polls, and bringing together feedback and responses.
  • 4. Coordinating meetings, workshops and events: arranging invitations, preparing materials, supporting logistics and recording agreed actions where needed.
  • 5. Preparing and maintaining information: creating and formatting documents, updating SharePoint content and keeping shared records and email distribution lists accurate.
  • 6. Providing operational and administrative support: working with managers and teams across Guidance Services to help with agreed tasks and requests.
  • 7. Improving ways of working: identifying practical improvements, sharing ideas, and helping the team provide consistent, reliable support.

You’ll work with your manager and teammates to agree priorities, manage deadlines and raise any issues that could affect delivery.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience of providing business, administrative or coordination support.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage different tasks, priorities and deadlines.
  • Good digital skills, including experience using Microsoft 365 applications and the confidence to learn new systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with different audiences.
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to produce and maintain accurate information, records and documents.
  • The ability to work well with colleagues across different teams and build positive working relationships.

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive: able to take ownership of tasks and follow them through.
  • Flexible and adaptable: comfortable responding to changing priorities and taking on different types of work.
  • Collaborative: enjoys working with others and contributing to a supportive team.
  • Practical and solutions-focused: willing to identify improvements and find simpler, more effective ways of working.
  • Reliable and attentive: takes care over the quality and accuracy of their work.
  • Positive and approachable: communicates professionally and builds constructive relationships with colleagues at all levels across the organisation.
