About the Role
Money Minder Financial Services (UK) Ltd is an independently owned Chartered Financial Planning Firm and Investors in People accredited business with over 26 years of trusted client relationships. We are seeking a highly capable Chartered Financial Planner (or near-Chartered) to join us as part of a carefully structured succession plan. This is a rare opportunity to inherit, nurture and develop a significant portfolio of long-standing clients, many of whom have entrusted their lifetime savings to Money Minder over many years. You will deliver exceptional retirement, pension, investment, and financial planning advice while contributing to the ongoing growth and evolution of our highly trusted and innovative business. Our clients are primarily aged 60+, living in Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. Many have trusted Money Minder with their retirement planning for decades. As such, the ability to build long-term, empathetic relationships with traditional, rural-based British clients is essential.
Why Join Money Minder?
- Succession opportunity with a substantial client bank to inherit and build upon.
- Independently owned — not part of any consolidator group.
- Educational advice philosophy — no sales quotas or cold-calling.
- Fully established word-of-mouth referral network and retirement planning workshop leads.
- Full paraplanning, administration, compliance, educational tools and AI-powered support systems.
- In-house AI technology supports advice delivery, reviews, compliance and suitability checking.
- Direct mentoring from our Founder & Managing Director, Ray Black MSc FPFS.
- Protected client-first culture prioritising long-term relationships.
- Clear leadership and personal development pathway.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Chartered Financial Planner status (or very close to achieving within 12-24 months).
- Must have recent or current experience in UK-regulated financial advice.
- Confidence working with clients aged 60+ in traditional and rural community settings.
- Ideally based in, or willing to relocate to, Lincolnshire or nearby regions.
- High ethical standards, strong emotional intelligence, and outstanding client rapport.
- Significant client relationship management experience across pensions, investments, retirement planning, IHT & Estate Planning, and cashflow modelling.
- Commercially aware with proven ability to retain and develop client relationships (not transactional sales-focused).
- Open to hybrid Human/AI advice delivery supported by online educational content.
- Committed to long-term career growth within a stable, values-led firm.
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of Public Sector Pension Schemes.
- Experience creating client education content (written, video, seminar or webinar).
Compensation & Benefits
- Highly competitive basic salary (guideline: £60,000 – £80,000 for the ideal candidate).
- Annual bonus / salary growth linked to business performance and funds under management growth.
- Employer pension contributions, death in service benefits, group income protection.
- Full support infrastructure — paraplanning, administration, compliance, AI tools and educational platforms.
- Direct mentoring and long-term succession leadership development.
The Standard
This is a highly selective and important appointment, reflecting the trust our clients place in Money Minder and the significance of this succession pathway. We are seeking a values-led adviser who combines technical excellence, emotional intelligence, and a long-term commitment to both our clients and the future direction of the firm. For the right candidate, this represents a rare opportunity to inherit an exceptional client base, contribute to the ongoing evolution of Money Minder, and build a highly rewarding long-term career.
Lifestyle & Location Fit
This role suits a values-led adviser who appreciates the balance and quality of life offered in Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. Whether you’re looking to step away from high-pressure city life, raise a family in a more rural setting, or commit long-term to a local community, this opportunity supports both your professional and personal aspirations.
