We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and a commitment to excellent service.

Basic wage includes £10 per day crane bonus and nights out at £25 per night.

Duties:

  • Operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods across designated routes.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
  • Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Full Class 1 CE licence with minimum 12 months experience driving.
  • Allmi certification preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
  • Valid driving licence suitable for operating flatbed lorries (category C+E).
  • Experience with flatbed vehicle operation is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate vehicles in various weather conditions and terrains.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
