Junior Security Engineer (3 Month FTC) | London

Endpoint Security Engineer manages, secures, and optimizes end‑user devices (laptops, desktops, mobile) throughout their lifecycle to protect against cyber threats. They configure EDR, MDM/MAM (Intune), enforce compliance policies, and automate security patching to ensure a secure, compliant, and modern workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Device Management & Security: Deploy, manage, and harden Windows devices using Microsoft Intune.
  • Windows Hello for Business: Support the transition to Windows Hello for Business, provide troubleshooting and operational support during rollout and adoption.
  • Mobile Device Security: Manage iOS and Android devices using Intune, deploy mobile configuration profiles, compliance policies, and device restrictions, support secure access to corporate data on mobile platforms through endpoint controls.
  • Threat Protection: Implement and manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and VPNs to prevent and detect malicious behaviour.
  • Policy Enforcement: Configure security baselines, encryption (BitLocker), and access controls, including Zero Trust models.
  • Patching & Compliance: Manage update rings and compliance policies to ensure that all systems are patched against vulnerabilities.
  • Automation: Utilize scripting languages like PowerShell or Python to automate application packaging and deployment, security tasks and workflow improvements.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in End User Computing or Endpoint Configuration Engineering.
  • Tools: Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, Windows Hello for Business.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include Microsoft SC-400 (Information Protection), or MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of operating system security (Windows 11), networking (802.1X, Wi‑Fi), and vulnerability management.
