Our client is a London-based, multi-billion AUM family office seeking to appoint a Single Long/Short Equity Portfolio Manager to run a dedicated, standalone mandate. This is a rare opportunity for an established PM to manage capital in a long-term, stable environment with minimal bureaucracy and no external capital pressures. The mandate is designed for a high-conviction investor with a disciplined, risk-aware approach.
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of a discretionary long/short equity portfolio
- End-to-end responsibility for idea generation, portfolio construction, risk management, and performance
- Build and manage a concentrated, high-conviction book within defined risk parameters
- Actively manage gross/net exposure, drawdowns, liquidity, and factor risks
- Clearly articulate investment views, positioning, and performance to the CIO / principal
- Operate independently with full accountability for results
