Mondrian Alpha are partnering with a global hedge fund to appoint a senior valuations professional in their London-based Finance and Middle Office function.

This is a newly created position leading and developing the firm's IPV and pricing-control capabilities as their trading activities continue to grow.

Working in a high-calibre team, the successful candidate will act as a key technical authority on valuation methodology for complex derivatives.

The role will involve independently taking ownership of the IPV framework across a range of exchange-traded products, developing pricing methodologies, valuation adjustments and processes for positions.

You will work closely with stakeholders across front office, technology, legal and finance to establish robust valuations standards, strengthen governance, and ensure accurate and appropriately controlled pricing.

You will also help design and automate scalable valuation controls, improve the sourcing and validation of market data, support the introduction of new products and contribute to the continued development of the firm's valuation infrastructure.

The firm is seeking an experienced valuation control professional (minimum 7 years' experience) with a strong technical understanding of derivative pricing and practical IPV experience.

You should be comfortable working with complex or less liquid instruments, have strong knowledge areas such as model calibration, valuation adjustments, and hedging approaches.

Experience gained in a hedge fund, investment bank or trading firm is essential.
