Our client, a major, global multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to hire a trade support associate for its expanding London team.
This role is primarily focused on SME, value-add, and project management responsibilities across a variety of strategies and asset classes, directly interacting with industry-leading investment professionals and senior levels of non-investment management.
The new hire will be responsible for:
- Managing relationships and serving as the point of escalation for investment pods regarding live daily trading issues and discrepancies. It is essential to have the ability to push back on investment professionals.
- Leading projects focused on process and infrastructure enhancements, as well as project work directly for business heads and investment professionals.
BAU tasks typically involve oversight across product management, settlements, the trade booking process, and managing external back office service providers.
The hire will have the opportunity to learn Python and SQL, which are valuable for automation work and for effectively communicating with the tech team during operational infrastructure projects.
Candidates should have 3-6 years of experience in a hedge fund or top-tier investment bank trade support, operations, or middle office role. Excellent academic profiles are expected, and some form of programming skills is preferred.
This role offers a market-leading compensation package, potentially up to £200k total compensation in the first year, with a minimum guarantee of approximately £150k. The successful hire will also receive a sign-on bonus.
