My client, a multi-billion dollar high frequency trading firm, is seeking a talented Systems Engineer. You will collaborate with elite software and research engineers, playing a mission-critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of some of the most advanced trading systems in the world.
What You’ll Do
- Automate and Scale: Spearhead initiatives to fully automate trading, research, and development environments to operate 24/7 across global markets.
- Tooling & Monitoring: Build high-performance tooling in Python, Go, or Rust to streamline CI/CD pipelines, enhance environment observability, and minimise latency.
- Incident Management: Own the health of production trading platforms — providing real-time support, proactive monitoring, and incident response to minimise risk and downtime.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with quant researchers, traders, developers, and infra teams to ensure seamless delivery of new strategies and system improvements.
- Project Leadership: Lead or contribute to strategic projects across onboarding, trading automation, anomaly detection, and intelligent system diagnostics.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 3+ years in SRE, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Trading Support within a high-performance environment.
- Hands-on with Unix/Linux, production troubleshooting, and managing complex distributed systems.
- Fluency in Python, Go, or Rust; strong scripting background is a must.
- Experience supporting FIX protocol, automated trade flows, or trading platform configuration.
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems, observability frameworks, and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Bonus: Exposure to LLMs, ML pipelines, or advanced data processing in latency-sensitive systems.
