My client, a prestigious global hedge fund, is seeking a talented Software Developer to join their London office and lead on greenfield projects within the Middle Office space.
My client is seeking a Software Developer to join our technology team and play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency. This is a high-impact, hands-on role that involves building automation solutions, improving treasury and accounting workflows, and bridging the gap between operations, risk, and technology.
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience developing solutions for treasury, collateral management, and FinOps functions within a hedge fund, asset manager, or bank. They will work closely with key stakeholders to design, build, and implement custom tools and integrations, helping the firm move away from legacy systems and increase automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and automate processes for treasury, accounting, and middle-office operations.
- Build tools to enhance collateral and margin management, capital usage reporting, and trade reconciliation.
- Integrate internal systems with third-party platforms like Broadridge and Katanya.
- Assist in the transition away from outsourced systems by developing in-house solutions.
- Work closely with the risk, treasury, and operations teams to identify inefficiencies and develop scalable solutions.
- Develop data integration pipelines to improve reporting and analytics for portfolio managers.
- Own end-to-end development projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.
Key Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience in software development within middle office, treasury, or financial operations.
- Experience in treasury, collateral management, FinOps, or accounting technology.
- Proficiency in any modern programming language (Python, C#, Java, or similar).
- Strong understanding of data structures, automation, and workflow optimization.
- Experience working in a buy-side firm (hedge fund, asset manager) preferred, but sell-side candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Ability to work independently and own projects in a lean, fast-paced environment.
