A prestigious, technology-driven hedge fund is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their global infrastructure team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-performance, low-latency trading environment where technology is at the heart of the firm’s competitive edge.
This team plays a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of the systems that power the fund’s trading and research platforms. As an SRE, you will work closely with software engineers and investment teams to build automation-first solutions that support the firm’s most advanced strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Create automated solutions and troubleshoot production issues related to Enterprise Data / Reference Data systems and execute problem resolution through post-issue evaluations, root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Analyze, performance test, document and identify optimization opportunities and failure patterns / incidents in the Enterprise/ Reference Data application.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of core production systems across the business.
- Design and implement automation to eliminate manual tasks and reduce operational risk.
- Collaborate with software and investment teams to embed the SRE mindset early in the development lifecycle.
- SRE with experience working with data systems.
- Ability to program (structured, OOP, and TDD) using one or more high-level languages, such as Python and C++.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems, networking, and system-level debugging.
- Familiarity with modern development tooling: version control, build systems, CI/CD pipelines.
- Bonus: experience with SQL, cloud platforms, or front-end technologies (JavaScript/React).
- Strong educational background.
