My client, a global hedge fund expanding its presence in the EMEA region is looking to hire a Global Reward Specialist based in the firm’s London office. Reporting to the CPO and supported by a well-structured HR team, the hire will step into a newly created role taking ownership of rewards, compensation and benefits operations and strategic delivery across the EMEA region.
As the firm grows, one of the hire’s first priorities will be to own, drive and centralise cyclical processes, working closely with HR Business Partners on performance reviews, bonus structures and appraisals. The hire will provide strategic solutions and expert advice to multiple stakeholders; combining in-depth knowledge of total reward principles, understanding of the business needs, market and regulatory landscape, and associated detailed analysis & models.
Example BAU responsibilities include:
- Design, delivery and management of compensation frameworks
- Providing in-depth knowledge of key financial performance metrics
- Driving improvements in internal modelling capabilities
- Acting as the SME on total reward plans
- Tracking buy-side peers and making improvements to internal package structures to remain competitive
- Driving reverse benchmarking research to boost attractiveness
- Playing a key role in the initiative to make HR a more data driven and quantitative function
The ideal candidate will have 5 – 10 years of experience as a Compensation Specialist/ Total Reward Specialist with experience supporting employee populations across the APAC and EMEA regions at a leading hedge fund, investment bank or asset manager – however, my client is also open to considering exceptional candidates within the fintech space.
The firm operates with a very flat structure, so they are looking for a professional that is comfortable taking a hands-on approach whilst also being able to step back and take a more strategic lens when needed. The firm have budgeted up to £160K Total comp, a sign-on bonus and a 2026 target bonus and offers fantastic benefits. The firm offer employees the opportunity to work from home 1 / 2 days a week.
