A multi-billion dollar AUM multi-strategy hedge fund are looking to hire a performance specialist for their London based marketing team. The role sits between industry leading marketers and portfolio managers / traders - it provides a unique opportunity to be close to markets, perform a highly analytical role, whilst also covering some core investor relations tasks.
Core to the role is that the hire will produce performance analytics / reports at high volume, that he/she will then use to put into marketing materials and presentations used by fundraisers in investor pitches. Project work, automating / improving existing processes, will also form a core part of the role - the hire will learn coding skills to a strong ability in this role, more specifically Python to an advanced standard.
In what is a well-rounded remit, the hire will also be a first point of contact for a specific pool of investors, dealing with their questions, queries and/or providing them with bespoke analysis and performance reports.
Candidates should have 2-5 years experience in an investor relations / marketing function ideally, however it is possible to consider candidates working in hedge fund finance or operations roles looking for a new challenge. Key is for the hire to have an excellent academic record, ideally STEM, and some coding skills (preferable Python).
This is a highly technical, analytical role that also requires direct face time externally with clients, investors and internally with high profile marketers and portfolio managers - personality fit and excellent communication skills are key.
