A very well established, multi-billion dollar AUM, US hedge fund, are looking to hire a middle office lead for its recently launched London office . The role sits with the European investment pod (all London based portfolio managers / traders) – the remit is not operations (all run from the US), it is instead purely focused on core middle office / trader assistant tasks. Responsibilities include P&L oversight / analysis / monitoring / reporting for the investment team (for investment decision making – the hire can have a genuine input into this process), handling pricing, the trade booking process, settlements oversight & corporate action support. Project work will form a component of the remit, either ad-hoc work for the London investment team, or assisting the US middle office team on process improvement projects and automation initiatives within the middle office. The ideal candidate will have 2-5yrs experience. We are open to hedge fund or IB candidates. Candidates must have strong OTC experience / broad derivatives skills. Excellent academics are required. SQL skills are a pre-requisite. Any VBA and/or python skills are very useful. This is a critical hire, and the successful candidate can expect an attractive uplift on their current base salary, with a first-year total compensation exceeding six figures for a strong performer (the firm pride themselves on rewarding high performers with excellent bonus incentives).
