A leading global hedge fund is looking to hire an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test / Test Automation Engineer / Software Engineer to join its technology function, working on the development, automation and reliability of its trading platforms and production systems.This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering opportunity, working closely with Software Engineers, Quant Developers, Quant Researchers, Front Office Technology, Risk and Trading teams to ensure the quality, performance, scalability and reliability of business-critical trading infrastructure.The successful candidate will take ownership of automated testing, test framework development, software quality engineering and CI/CD integration, helping to deliver complex trading systems into production safely and efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using C#/.NET, Python or Java.Build bespoke test harnesses, testing tools and automation infrastructure for complex software applications.Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated regression testing and continuous integration processes.Improve software quality, system reliability, production readiness and release automation.Collaborate with Software Developers, Quantitative Developers and Trading Technology teams to identify technical risks and improve engineering standards.Take ownership of testing architecture, automation strategy and engineering improvements across critical trading platforms.Contribute to the development of scalable, maintainable and robust software testing solutions.Technical Requirements:7+ years of software engineering or test automation experience, using C#/.NET, Java or Python.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), software architecture and software design principles.Hands-on experience developing test automation frameworks, test harnesses and automated testing tools.Experience with CI/CD, continuous integration, automated testing and software deployment pipelines.Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality engineering and system reliability.Experience working with complex, business-critical software systems.My client offers an excellent compensation package, including a highly competitive base salary, performance-related compensation with participation in fund performance, and a comprehensive benefits package.You will join a high-performing engineering environment with significant technical autonomy, modern development tooling and the opportunity to work alongside some of the strongest technologists in the hedge fund industry.#SDET #SoftwareEngineering #TestAutomation #CSharp #DotNet #Python #Java #CICD #HedgeFunds #TradingTechnology #QuantitativeFinance
