My client, a technology-first hedge fund, is seeking an experienced Dev Ops Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team in London.

As part of this highly skilled engineering function, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and operating a modern Kubernetes platform that supports business‑critical applications at scale.

Working across a predominantly bare‑metal and on‑premises environment, you will help drive automation, reliability, and platform maturity while partnering closely with software engineering teams.

The successful candidate will come from a Software Engineering background (8+ years experience) and have evolved into a platform or infrastructure‑focused role, bringing a strong understanding of how developers interact with infrastructure.

You should have extensive hands‑on experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters in bare‑metal or on‑premises environments, alongside strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

You will have a deep understanding of containerisation technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑native principles, with a track record of building highly automated, resilient platforms.

Experience with Git Ops methodologies, observability tooling, Linux systems administration, and networking concepts within Kubernetes environments would be highly advantageous.

Given the collaborative nature of the role, you will work closely with development teams to improve developer experience, streamline application deployments, and ensure platform reliability, security, and performance.

This position offers the opportunity to influence infrastructure strategy and contribute to long‑term platform initiatives as the organisation continues to scale.
