Mondrian Alpha are partnering with a well-established multi-strategy hedge fund with a global presence looking to hire a Senior Financial Controller into their growing finance team. The firm have had exceptional returns for many years, and this is a great opportunity to join a reputable firm in a fast-paced, dynamic role.
This is a management role overseeing a team of high-calibre management accountants on the finance team. The role requires someone to be able to switch between detail and high-level thinking. Alongside overseeing the financial accountants on the team, core responsibilities include management of financial accounts (monthly reporting & budget analysis), as well as partnering with senior FP&A professionals to continue to build on the best-in-class finance function.
The role involves vendor management, contributing to operational development and broader strategic initiatives. Along with taking ownership of the full financial control environment, this position is also involved in wider strategic business initiatives such as fund launches, building operational solutions, and partnering with stakeholders on commercial and operational projects.
We're looking for strong managers with a minimum of 9 years' PQE (ACA/CIMA) with experience working within either a private markets firm or a hedge fund, someone with great attention to detail, and strong managerial experience managing a team of a minimum of 4 people. Experience implementing automation and AI solutions is essential.
