Our client, a circa $500m AUM Hedge Fund, are looking to make a London based 'Head of Operations' hire. The new hire will report directly to the CIO, managing all operations / MO responsibilities, with a platform to become the firm’s first COO within a couple of years.
In addition to managing a small offshored back office/operations team and external service providers, the hire will be tasked with leading key firmwide projects that include:
- the launch of a UCITS fund
- the adoption/launch/implementation of a new OMS/PMS
- the creation of a new settlements function
- working on buildout/transformation/project work for the managing partners
Candidates should have 7-10 years relevant hedge fund operations experience and should be clearly able to demonstrate their value-add skills beyond BAU operations. The clear potential to become COO within a couple of years is essential.
The role has a £90-120k base salary budget, with an expectation for the hire to earn a 50%+ bonus potential in year one.
