A leading private investment group is hiring a Development Manager to lead a high‐performing, multi‐skilled engineering team delivering secure, cloud‐native business solutions across AWS. This is a hands‐on leadership role within a DevSecOps‐focused environment that values pragmatism, automation, and technical excellence.

You will work across a modern stack including TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, and contribute directly to evolving the group's technical architecture. The firm operates a genuinely modern, serverless‐first setup, with leadership that actively promotes sustainability, deep work, and technical mastery.

What you will do:

  • Lead and mentor a small team of software and data engineers.
  • Design and deliver cloud‐native solutions in line with group objectives.
  • Stay hands‐on across coding, code reviews, and architecture.
  • Drive DevSecOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and citizen developers to scale impact across the business.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience leading engineering teams while remaining technically hands‐on.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python, with working knowledge of AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD.
  • Exposure to React, Databricks, Snowflake, or Spark desirable.
  • Interest in ML/GenAI applications and modern DevSecOps tooling.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

The role offers a competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience, and the opportunity to work in a hybrid setup (three days per week in the office). This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable and forward‐thinking engineering leader to join a growing, innovation‐driven investment group and shape its next‐generation of cloud‐native solutions.
