A multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund are looking to make a newly created junior level hire onto its European equities trading desk. This is a newly created hire to sit on a desk with industry leading equity strategy traders, in a value-add role, taking away tasks enabling those traders to focus on providing best in class execution. The remit is pure value-add for the trade execution process, whether that is reporting on performance / analysing performance metrics, ensuring that the trade execution process is running smoothly, or making improvements to the existing trade execution process for equities. The hire will work closely to other operations/treasury/MO teams, as the first point of contact for execution issues & trade allocation queries. Whilst junior, this is a highly visible, autonomous role, at a market leading firm. It can also have progression into a trading position eventually. Candidates must have an exceptional academic profile. The ideal candidate will have roughly 2-4yrs relevant experience, in an operations/trade support role – this can be from a hedge fund or IB. We are open to asset class. Coding skills are essential, with advanced Python preferable. The role will pay a £100-150k year one TC package, with substantial year-on-year growth potential. A sign-on bonus will be offered to the successful candidate that will more than make up for any loss of earnings if resigning pre-bonus.
