IT Support Engineer - Immediate Start

A leading global investment firm is seeking a highly capable and motivated Technical Support Engineer to join its London office. This role is ideally suited to candidates with 1–3 years of experience in a technical support or sysadmin position—particularly those coming from MSP, banking, or hedge fund environments—who are now looking to deepen their responsibilities and broaden their technical horizons. What you’ll be doing: Acting as the primary point of contact for technology issues within the London office Supporting desktop hardware, Windows environments, and core network services Collaborating with a global infrastructure team across the US and UK Gaining exposure to PowerShell and scripting as part of automation initiatives Working closely with business users to deliver high-quality, front-line support What we’re looking for: ~1–3 years in an IT support or junior sysadmin role, ideally within a financial or MSP setting ~ Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange) ~ Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) ~ Some familiarity with PowerShell or Python, or a strong desire to develop automation skills ~ A proactive, self-starter mindset with strong communication and problem-solving abilities ~ Bachelor\’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred Why this role?
