HR Business Partner (COO Office) – Major Hedge Fund - Up to £200k TC

A US based hedge fund, going through a strong period of growth in Europe, are looking to hire their first London based HR Business Partner, directly supporting the European Office of the COO.

Stepping into a newly created role and working with a small HR admin support team onsite, the HRBP will work in a highly visible, autonomous role, supporting all key corporate function teams – with a focus on supporting European non-investment teams. The HRBP will take ownership for a broad range of tasks for non-investment business lines, extending to managing HR infrastructure buildouts, upgrades and project work (for example the re-vamping of talent management frameworks). More broadly, the hire will have sole ownership for a broad range of HR Business partnering responsibilities, including managing people strategy alignment & systems, the development and execution of HR policies, with a focus on compensation & benefits, training/promotions/disciplinary/performance management etc. The hire will also help drive European talent development and L&D initiatives as the London office continues to expand.

Candidates should ideally have 5-10yrs+ HR experience at a leading asset manager/hedge fund/private equity firm. Candidates must have strong stakeholder management experience, project management skills and excellent academics.

This is a first-of-its-kind hire for the firm, so our client is committed to offering the successful candidate a strong increase on his/her current base and a year one target TC range of up to £200k. The firm also offer a fantastic benefits package and a sign-on bonus to off-set any bonus incentive that the hire will be forgoing at this time of the year.
