This is an exceptional opportunity as a senior professional within the valuations team of a highly prestigious hedge fund in London. Off the back of numerous years of stand-out performance, they are looking to add another experienced professional to the team to support their cross-asset valuation platform.
This is a new role and will report into a very successful Head of Fund Finance. It will work alongside a well-established team who are primarily responsible for the fund accounting and valuations, this will be purely focused on valuations primarily for the hedge fund products (equities, bonds and complex derivatives products) but also covering some private equity valuations.
In addition, it will continue to implement valuation methodologies and models to determine fair value, taking into account market data, pricing models, and risk factors. The role will have significant exposure across the business, regularly interacting with different teams. It will have a 60/40 split (valuation work vs process improvement work), and hence they have a preference for candidates with strong SQL or Python skills.
It is important to enjoy tech/systems focused projects and have an aptitude to initiate new ideas as well as work directly with the tech team to project manage and execute initiatives. The firm are looking for qualified accountants, with exposure across complex products. You should have strong academics and excellent communication skills. Previous experience with improvement projects is desirable, as well as strong Excel/SQL skills.
Base salary will offer a significant uplift for the successful candidate (they have a flexible budget based off years of experience) and you can expect 40%+ bonuses in your first year.
