A multi-billion dollar AUM, US Hedge Fund, are looking to make a newly created Head of Human Resources hire specific to its rapidly expanding European business. Reporting into the Global Head of HR (New York based) and working in a team of HR professionals in multiple global locations, this is the firm’s first London office based ‘head of’ hire, a necessity due to recent rapid growth in the London office and large build out plans for the next couple of years both here and potentially in other European locations.
The hire will take ownership for:
- Hiring strategy
- Recruitment
- Compensation and benefits
- Performance / disciplinary
- Payroll
Whilst the role is hands-on, you will be supported by a small team that take control of the more manual / administrative tasks. We are considering HR professionals from hedge fund, private markets, prop trading, or investment banking backgrounds ideally, but we can be open to candidates working at high performing firms outside of financial services. You should roughly have 10-20 years relevant experience.
Based on the Mondrian Alpha 2026 hedge fund salary survey, this is a hire that will pay a total compensation package comfortable above the upper quartile range for the London HR market. My client will offer an attractive increase on current base salary, a guaranteed bonus range that makes up a large percentage of base, and a fantastic benefits package (some of which can be exchanged for cash).
