We're partnering with a growing private equity firm, headquartered in London, to recruit a Head of Fund Accounting. In this role, you'll oversee end-to-end financial operations for a portfolio of closed-end funds and co-investment vehicles. Reporting to the CFO, you'll lead a small team and collaborate closely with Investment, Investor Relations, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality fund reporting while building scalable processes.
Your key responsibilities include managing quarterly and annual reporting cycles for closed-end funds and SPVs, ensuring smooth timelines, thorough financial reviews, and compliance with GAAP (UK/US/IFRS) and LPA requirements. The role also involves overseeing capital activities, while ensuring accurate reconciliations between funds and SPVs and aligning management fees with Group Finance.
You'll drive the production of clear, insightful investor reports, continuously seeking to enhance their quality, and lead quarterly investor calls. With the firm's significant investment in systems, you'll look to further streamline and automate processes to improve efficiencies and deliver premium reporting for investors.
We're seeking qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with extensive private equity fund accounting experience, gained either in-house or at a fund administrator. You should have management experience, strong knowledge across closed-end fund structures (UK LPs, Lux), and strong stakeholder management skills across Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, Valuations, and Group Finance. It is important to have a passion for building scalable, automated processes and delivering exceptional investor reporting.
The firm offers a competitive base salary (£110k–£150k, depending on experience), a performance-linked bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The role operates on a hybrid working model, with 3–4 days in the London office.
