My client, a prestigious systematic boutique hedge fund, is seeking a junior Software Developer / Computer Science Graduate to join their London team. This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm with a start-up mindset, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technology landscape and directly contributing to its ongoing success. You will be a proactive self-starter with a genuine passion for technology, eager to work in a highly collaborative, agile environment while being mentored by seasoned industry professionals. As part of a close-knit team, you will have daily interaction with Trading, Risk, Marketing, and Middle Office teams, ensuring you gain broad exposure across the business and a deep understanding of the financial markets. Key Responsibilities will include: Develop and enhance both in-house and third-party systems that support and manage trading operations. Work across multiple business functions, developing solutions for booking, valuations, risk management, and P&L workflows. Collaborate closely with trading, risk, marketing, operations, and compliance teams. Take ownership of technical projects and products, focusing on increasing automation and operational efficiency. Participate in a support rota alongside other team members, including management. A successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong background in finance or Computer Science, actively involved in extracurricular pursuits such as start-ups. They should possess deep expertise in Python or demonstrate proficiency in other languages like C#, C++, Java, React, or Ruby.
