Mondrian Alpha are partnering with a well-established credit fund looking to hire an experienced Fund Controller on a 12-month contract basis. This will report directly into the CFO, the role will suit a confident, technically strong funds professional with experience across fund accounting, control, reporting and fund finance operations.
The position offers a wide-ranging remit across the fund finance function, supporting the firm’s credit platform and related fund vehicles. Responsibilities will span NAV oversight, statutory and investor reporting, regulatory deliverables, audit coordination, control frameworks and day-to-day finance operations.
The Fund Controller will be responsible for the financial oversight of the credit funds, maintaining high standards across NAV validation, reporting outputs, investor allocation processes, capital movements, fee calculations, expense approvals, drawdowns and distributions. They will work closely with external partners across administration, audit, tax, custody, depositary and corporate services, while managing reporting timelines and ensuring outputs are accurate, well controlled and delivered to a high standard.
The role will also require close involvement with structured credit assets, valuation governance, investment execution, SPV and financing structures, subscription facilities and covenant requirements. Alongside this, the individual will contribute to fund launches, onboarding of service providers, process enhancement, fundraising materials, governance packs, risk and compliance reporting, and broader projects across the business.
The firm is looking for someone with 10+ years’ experience and with knowledge across various fund structures, particularly open-ended and hedge fund structures. Strong credit product knowledge is desirable (particularly across structured credit, private credit, SPVs, financing entities). The successful candidate will need to be confident, credible and able to operate independently in a senior role, with strong technical fund accounting and effectively work with outsourced teams.
