One of the best performing hedge funds in Europe are looking to make an additional front office support hire in London (a backfill for an internal move into a trader seat). The role has a hybrid trader assistant / operations remit, however all the core BAU operations tasks are outsourced and therefore there is a far greater focus on analytical work, being a contact point for prime brokers, facing off to the trading desk, supporting the COO / Head of Operations on a daily basis, driving change and running key projects, which make up a large part of the role.
The firm have an excellent track‑record progressing high‑performing individuals from this role, historically into managerial roles in operations, trader positions, investment analyst and also market risk. Candidates should ideally have 5-10 years experience as a hedge fund operations / middle office / trader assistant.
The starting base salary can be anything up to £100k. The fund’s performance has been exceptional in recent times and so members of this team have typically all received 50 – 100% annual bonuses. The fund has a great culture and it is worth noting that there is flexibility to WFH when required.
