We are working with a successful hedge fund with over $10bn AUM. They are hiring a management accountant to cover a broad range of finance responsibilities and projects. This is a great opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to gain broad exposure, including partnering directly with investment professionals and senior stakeholders. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, bookkeeping support, and providing analysis to support strategic decision-making, with initiatives to automate and streamline processes. You will be supported by outsourced accountants, allowing more time for value-add tasks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and control for the fund.
- Provide bookkeeping support and assist with month-end processes.
- Develop analyses to support strategic decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Drive automation and process improvements across finance workflows.
- Collaborate with outsourced accounting partners and internal stakeholders, including investment professionals and senior management.
- Support with ad-hoc finance projects as required.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (recently qualified acceptable).
- Experience with Xero and/or Payhawk is desirable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; hedge fund exposure is highly desirable.
- Must be on a maximum two weeks notice.
Benefits and Compensation
- Competitive remuneration in the top quartile for the market with a highly competitive compensation package.
- Base salary typically £65,000–£90,000 with discretionary bonus of 30–100% depending on personal performance.
- Hybrid working with three days per week in the office.
