Overview
A market-leading multi-manager hedge fund is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its Enterprise Data team.
This group is responsible for the full lifecycle of ingesting, processing, and serving critical reference datasets that power trading across all asset classes.
These systems provide the financial instruments and pricing data used globally and are integral to both research and trading activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated solutions to improve reliability, reduce toil, and optimise workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in enterprise/reference data systems, conducting root cause analysis and remediation.
- Analyse failure patterns and incidents to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Implement monitoring frameworks to ensure end-to-end observability and noiseless alerting.
- Design automated upgrades, change management processes, and release management solutions.
- Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in one or more high-level languages (Python, Java, C/C++).
- Experience with structured programming, OOP, and TDD.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to performance and optimisation.
